HiACE lab member Kaiser presented his research titled “Assessing the Potential of Google Location History (GLH) Data for Travel Behavior Research in the Context of Developing Country” at the 104th Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting, Washington D.C.

The work, first introduced at the 27th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC 2024), investigates how large -scale Google Location History (GLH) data can be leveraged to understand travel behavior patterns in developing countries. It demonstrates how smartphone-based location data can support transportation planning, policy evaluation, and mobility analytics where traditional survey data are scarce.

This research reflects the HiACE Lab’s ongoing commitment to data-driven, human-centered transportation research, integrating AI, behavioral modeling, and mobility analytics to promote equitable and efficient travel systems.
